Flatpack Steps
Paste the notes you would leave on the counter. The page splits them into steps and marks every one that runs long, does two things at once, hedges, or leans on something you never wrote down - free, as you type. Then build the sheet: a lettered parts list and numbered steps that each do one thing, like the sheet in a box of furniture.

3 The page's check
Rules, in order: a step that leans on something never written down (the usual spot, like last time, the code with no code) is ask first; fewer than three steps, or more than half breaking a rule, is rebuild; any step breaking a rule is tighten; otherwise ready. The rules: S1 one action, S2 start with the verb, S3 20 words or fewer, S4 no vague words. These are word lists and counts - estimates, not a judgement; the build reads the order too.
4 Your notes as a sheet (free draft)
Each candidate step as a panel, with the page's picture guess and the rules it breaks.
